Chief Executive Officer at Nahdet Misr Publishing House. Graduated with honors in Business Administration (1993) from the American University in Cairo, Dalia Ibrahim has more than 25 years of professional experience not only in traditional publishing but also in all forms of content provision. She solidified her educational experience with a Masters of Public Administration (1999) and an Executive
MBA (2014) both from the American University in Cairo. From 1998 till 2009, she established four different companies that offer integrated publishing, educational and digital solutions. Driven by a sense of commitment to the society, Dalia volunteers to serve as a mentor or a judge to start-up projects of young entrepreneurs which triggered her to later initiate the establishment of EdVentures, MENA’s first corporate venture capital that supports educational and cultural startups. Deservedly, Dalia’s efforts earned Nahdet Misr 40 local and international awards in the field of publishing, whether it be educational or cultural. In 2017, and in recognition of her numerous achievements in her career life, the American University in Cairo granted Dalia Ibrahim, the “School of Business Alumni” Award. In the same year, she was chosen among the top 50 women influencing the Egyptian economy according to
Amwal Al Ghad business magazine.
Driven by a sense of commitment to the society, Dalia saves no effort to volunteer to serve as a mentor or a judge to startup projects of young entrepreneurs.
With a PhD from MIT, Dr. Khaled is one of our most iconic mentors. He’s also quite known for his reputation as a successful entrepreneur and investor. He has a extensive experience in supporting entrepreneurs and investment as well as having worked as an Advisor for Algebra Ventures, a Member of the Board for ZPA Smart Energy, a Board Member of ElSweedy Electronics and Bisco Misr, a Member of the Investment Committee at MENA Ventures, an Advisor of the Egyptian American Enterprise fund, a Board Member of TIEC and a Member of the Presidential Advisory Board for Economic Development.
Neveen El Tahry
Neveen El Tahry is the Chairperson of Delta Shield, Delta Inspire and 138 Pyramids
Investment Companies that offer support to startups in different stages. She
commenced her career in 1980 as a Corporate Banker with Chase Manhattan JV.
With the revival of Egypt’s capital markets, she moved into the entrepreneurial space,
establishing in 1994 a Brokerage firm, 1997 Asset Management, 2007 Financial
Investments, 2008 Fund Services, 2009 Leasing, all of which were fully or partially
divested by 2011. The first woman to sit on the board of the Egyptian Stock Exchange, was twice named by the Financial Times as one of the leading business women in the Arab world. In 2014 named by the American Chamber of Commerce as Egypt’s Lead Corporate Woman. Named by Forbes, in 2014, as one of the region’s 200 leading business women. Graduated from the Faculty of Economics & Political Science, Cairo University and is an alumna of both London Business School and Harvard Business School.
With a diversified experience, Mr. Tarek is one of our most dedicated mentors. He works as a non-executive director at PwC after being a senior partner for 16 years. He is also quite active on the volunteering work being Egypt’s Advisory Group President at AIESEC, a mentor at Endeavor, a Board Member of Enactus, and a Member of both Cairo Angels and Ashoka.
Dr. Hadia enjoys a diverse experience in banking, entrepreneurial finance, entrepreneurship development, and small business consultancy. She occupied various positions including Corporate Banking Manager at the American Express Bank, Head of the Technical Office of the Board of Investment Trustees, Advisor to the Minister of Investment on Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at GUC. Dr. Hadia is currently working at University of Canada.
As an entrepreneur by experience, Sharara is an icon of Entrepreneurship in Egypt being the Founder and CEO of RiseUp, the most renowned entrepreneurship summit in Egypt and the Middle East. Sharara is also a Board Member in TIEC (Egyptian Government Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center) with a mission to develop TIEC’s new strategy for entrepreneurship and innovation.
Hatem used to be the Chief Executive Officer at ITWORX Education, He was leading the strategy and operations of the organization and engages directly with strategic customers, partners and prospects. Since joining ITWORX Education in 2011, Hatem’sresilient leadership has steered the company to successfully deliver its professional software products and services in America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. During his tenure, ITWORX Education managed to achieve a colossal 300% revenue growth and earned several global awards and recognitions, including the Microsoft Public Sector Education Partner of the Year and CityNext Partner of the Year Finalist awards. Hatem holds a B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University (1996), and a M.Sc. degree in Organization Change from Ashridge Business School in the UK (2014). Hatem Sallam is currently Partner and Chief Growth Officer at almentor.net.
Being the Co-founder and the Managing Partner at ElRe7la. Ayman deals on daily basis with Startups. He is quite known for his support to startups and SMEs being their mentor and consultant.
Ayman got his Bachelor Degree in Economics, and his post-graduate study in Feasibility Studies and Project Evaluation from Faculty of Economics & Political Science, Cairo University. He continued his post-graduate studies and got his Masters Degree in Economics in International Development from the American University in Cairo.
Founder and CEO of International Strategic Management, an international technology company. Additionally, he is a consultant with the World Bank as an entrepreneurial ecosystem expert as well as a business advisor with the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program at Wayne State University. He also facilitates a program for high school students, where they learn how to launch a global technology company, in addition to mentoring university students. He has served at business incubators, start-ups, non-profit organizations, five-star resorts, national marketing companies, fledgling companies, and major department store chains.
Wael Eldesouki Bedda
Director of the Entrepreneurship Center at the Arab Academy of Science and Technology. Wael has 15 years of experience in marketing, sales and feasibility studies gained from business consultation and enhanced by teaching in London School of Economics, Cardiff Metropolitan University. He supports entrepreneurs and help them in formulating business vision that is scalable and profitable. Wael is a strong believer in sector-focused incubators and accelerators. Through AAST accelerator, Wael is supporting Export and Supply Chain Startups to go global. He is progressing a PhD degree from Cardiff Metropolitan University in UK; his PhD is concerned with Global Entrepreneurial Marketing Mix.
