Aya Zaghnin is an entrepreneur, investment banker and A Venture Capitalist in Middle East and Africa. Aya began her career founding and scaling an e-mentorship platform for SMEs in Morocco before turning to investment banking in Washington DC, where she worked on multiple infrastructure projects as well as Series C+ and Unicorn startups in emerging markets. An avid GenZ investor, Aya directly and indirectly invested in and supported 200+ startups in the Agtech, Foodtech, Fintech, mobility and gaming sectors in more than 25 countries. She set up a $20M fund based in the KSA to target GCC investments ans she is currently investing in Africa with Breega (a 500M AUM fund based in France). Having featured in Shark Tank Morocco for season 2, Aya is aiming to invest in every country in the Middle East and Africa. Her aim is to promote GenZ investors and close the funding gap in the least developed countries of the region having invested and advised companies in countries like Sudan, Ethiopia, Iraq, Iran, DRC, Liberia, Sierra Leone etc.
