The Egyptian Government is leading an ambitious economic reform program. Just this week President Sisi announced a plan to remove obstacles facing entrepreneurs and start-ups in Egypt which is crucial for local economic development. USAID partners with Egypt to achieve economic growth and allow Egypt to become one of the fastest-growing emerging markets.
USAID today celebrated the achievements of the Sustainable Services Activity-supported incubators and Business Development Service Centers over the past year.
USAID Economic Growth Office Director Laura Gonzalez noted during the celebration, “I am thrilled to join the first Business Excellence Awards Ceremony today and celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of the organizations that have achieved exceptional business excellence levels during a worldwide pandemic… USAID recognizes that micro, small, and medium enterprises are crucial for local economic development. In 2019, these types of businesses contributed to more than 34% of Egypt’s GDP.”
At the event, EdVentures received Business Excellence Award for its EdTech Incubation Program.
USAID partners with FinBi through the Sustainable Services Activity to support micro, small, and medium enterprises that will drive economic growth, create jobs, increase access to finance, and find innovative solutions to improve people’s lives.
